half a shrimp

so we woke up this morning, ate some breakfast, went back to bed, showered, went back to bed... typical lazy sunday sunday morning.

until....

we got up (for the third time) to get ready for church, and josh came out to feed the fish, and the next thing i know, he's yelling, "beth, the shrimp's half-gone!"

so of course, i yell back, "huh?" i mean, can you blame me? how can a shrimp be half gone? so i come out, take a look, and indeed, our shrimp is half-gone.

turns out one of our fish is carnivorous. do they have csi for fishies? i guess it wouldn't do any good, since we've already disposed of the evidence. but i'm really upset. i mean, this shrimp cost $20. this is not your average popcorn shrimp. and it was a gruesome crime scene. totally worthy of csi for fishies. why would our carnivorous fish (whoever it is) only eat half of him? what a waste. but i guess this answers the question about what happened to lawnmower blenny. he just disappeared one day - completely. fish don't do that normally. maybe if i lived by the ocean.. and my fish had escaped in plastic bags... but i doubt that happened.

Well you only have 2 or 3 fish now, right? So that narrows down the suspects. Too bad you destroyd the evidence. You could have compared bite marks. Or you could just look up each of the remaining fish and see which one is carnivorous.

As I see it, you need to stick to goldfish! I got some you couldnt kill... but then again... Yeah. I hope you are better with babies than fishies :)
